Synopsis
At the final match of a chess tournament a deaf and dumb girl clashes with a boy who is full of prejudice and who thinks he has the victory in his hands. He will learn at his own expense that things are not always as they seem.

FRANCINE DESBIENS
Francine Desbiens (born in Montreal in 1938) is a Quebec animation film director.
Francine Desbiens studied at the Institute of Applied Arts in Montreal, and joined the National Film Board of Canada in 1965 in the information service. She then works as assistant facilitator, alongside Clorinda Warny and Břetislav Pojar. She made many animated short films, working in particular with the paper cut technique. His last short, My child, my land, is made on the computer, reproducing an aesthetic similar to that of paper cut.
