Synopsis
Xiao Qiang, for friends Dudu, is eight years old and lives with his grandfather in a village on the shores of a lake where, every year, in spring, the cranes return to lay their eggs. The grandfather takes care of controlling their well-being and helping sick cranes with Uncle Wu. Dudu spies the sky and waits impatiently for the return of Prince, the crane he saw born the year before. When the bird reappears, it has a wounded companion with it that the uncle has to cure, and a small one. The child strenuously defends the bird. The grandfather will have to teach him to temper his too possessive affection for the crane that will start again with the flock in autumn.
