Synopsis
Scott is a divorced father who manages to regain the friendship of his unsympathetic son, Charlie, when, by a strange twist of fate, he finds himself turned into the latest Santa Claus. When on Christmas Eve Scott and Charlie go to investigate strange noises, they find that Father Christmas has fallen off the roof. No sooner does Dad don Santa’s costume than he is whisked away with Charlie to the North Pole. Here Bernard, chief of the elves, explains that a clause states that whoever wears Santa’s clothes has also got his job. Charlie watches with misgiving as his father gradually turns into Father Christmas. Until Christmas Eve…

John Pasquin (Beloit (Wisconsin), November 30, 1944) is an American director and television producer.
After studying in Beloit (Wisconsin), he began directing Broadway plays in the early 1980s. He later switched to television, directing episodes of many TV series including Alice (1982-1984), Parents in blue jeans (1985), Bravo Dick (1985-1986), Casa Keaton (1983-1987), Pappa and flab ( 1989-1990), Quell'uragano di papà (1991). His debut as a television producer was in 1991 with the sitcom Quell'uragano di papà, played by Tim Allen. He has also directed some films since his debut with Santa Clause, which took place in 1994. He has been married since 1982 with JoBeth Williams.
