Synopsis
The film follows a lecture in the Aarhus Cathedral School in the years 1958-1960. During the first year of puberty, the protagonists acquire experiences with interest in the opposite sex, insecurity, love and even guilt. Elin is the most mature girl in the class, the others are jealous of her and the boys are insecure and competitive. It is gradually isolated from the community and receives no support from insensitive parents. The braver boy in the class, Niels-Ole, does not care about the girls in the class, but shows great interest in the young and beautiful Maj-Britt.
