Synopsis
Based on a short story by Stefan Zweig, titled „The Legend of the Third Pigeon". The story begins in a familiar vein with a scene from the Bible. A dove flies out of Noah's ark, but he is unable to find any dry land so he returns. The second dove brings the olive branch. The third one settles on dry land. The fate of the latter is an ominous symbol of man's possible future: the increasingly larger wars degeneration into a general world conflagration, in which the dove is reduced to ashes.
