Synopsis
At the age of 40, Anton goes to see Uncle Otto dying and remembers. Son of cabaret artist she German, he Dutch, lived a while with his mother and uncle in Germany, and then with his father in Holland. When his uncle went to see him in Holland he, ashamed of his German origins, did not let him in. Now he asks for forgiveness.

PIETER VERHOEFF
Pieter Verhoeff (born 4 February 1938 in Lemmer) is a Dutch film director. He studied at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy and graduated in 1966. He is known for his films The Mark of the Beast, The Dream and The Moving True Story of a Woman Ahead of Her Time. All three stories take place in his native Friesland. He won two Golden Calf's in his career.
