Synopsis
A coming-of-age comedy/drama set in Tunisia. Twelve-year-old Noura is an impressionable boy who must learn to reconcile two conflicting worlds - the loving world of Muslim women and the vastly different, harsher world of men - while also dealing with his own budding sexuality.

Férid Boughedir is a Tunisian director, screenwriter and film producer.
His father is Taoufik Boughedir, a well-known journalist, playwright and Tunisian intellectual.
Férid Boughedir was born in 1944 in Hammam Lif, a town about fifteen kilometers from Tunis. Journalist of Jeune Afrique magazine since 1971, Boughedir is a professor of cinema at the University of Tunis. In addition to being a filmmaker, he is also a film critic and historian, known for his publications on the history of African and Arab cinema.
Two of his documentaries, Caméra d'Afrique and Caméra arabe, respectively in 1983 and 1987, were presented in the Official Section at the Cannes Film Festival and his first feature film Halfaouine - L'Enfant des terrasses, remains the best-known Tunisian film in all the world, winner of the Golden Tanit at the Film Days of Carthage.
