Synopsis
Freshly graduated in the United States, Carlo returns to Rome, where his father wants him to begin to know the problems associated with his own industrial company, obviously destined for him in the future. But the young man loves "rock" music and his evenings pass by performing at the disco with three other friends as he sings, happy for the crying of the fifteen year olds. Carlo meets Elizabeth, a Americanina who studies ballet at the most prestigious Roman school, but who does not disdain the pleasure of "rock". The two fall in love but, at a certain moment, the girl's perseverance and commitment receive a bad blow: she does not pass the exams of the first year of the course. There are also disagreements between the two, with Carlo hesitant and lazy towards a job that does not feel the value nor the possibilities, and Elizabeth decided now to return to the patrii lidi, to cultivate there his passion for dance. The quartet of friends also collapses: one of the four, the most realistic, has found a good job in the bank and will marry an employee of Carlo's office. Finally the latter, learned that his girlfriend is leaving for New York, rushes to Fiumicino, decided to leave with her. With the embrace of his parents, who arrived on the spot before take-off, Carlo, leaving everything behind, chose with music the path he feels most congenial to him.
