Synopsis
Mamluk is a poor peasant who saved the life of the king. While the boy wants to have only a piece of land to make his family live, he is offered by the sovereign all the land that he can travel between sunrise and sunset. In spite of the fears of his mother who sees on the horizon of very bad omens, Mamluk undertakes this hallucinating race which will be at the same time for him a kind of initiatory journey during which the grand Vizier will blow him cynical and insidious advice to try to sharpen his worst feelings.
