OTA KOVAL
Koval studied filmmaking at the FAMU and began working in the late 1960s in the Barrandov film studios as assistant director, director and screenwriter. Together with Věra Plívová-Šimková he was a member of the famous film directors for children of the film studio in the 70s and 80s.
His first children's films include the comedy Lucie and the Miracles. The fairytale film The Katzenprinz was a co-production with DEFA, GDR. Koval has always remained faithful to the film for children. His discoveries include the small actors Žaneta Fuchsová and Filip Renč, who used in his films.
