Category: Edition 1979

Synopsis
Mental retardation, a condition that affects three children in a hundred in Canada, is not entirely curable, but with appropriate stimuli and help, many of these children can become self-sufficient individuals. First Steps is the name of the program completed in the center of learning in Montreal. Not only does it directly affect the sick child, but it teaches parents how to continue their children's mental development at home. The film presents Heidi Miglene, Luc and others. We are shown how their problems can be minimized, basically these are guys like everyone else, only they need more help.
