Synopsis
The self-portrayal of the motorcycle group "Flaming Stars" begins with a discussion about the term "rocker", which they reject as discriminatory. Conversations with passers-by in the center of Karlsruhe illustrate the different attitude of the citizens towards this motorcycle clique. In the further course of the film, the young people report on their professional activity and their motives to join this community. Recordings of group meetings and a proposed brawl complete this report, which attempts to reduce prejudice against youthful fringe groups.

GERHARD WAHL
(b.1949) studied educational theory, sociology, and psychology at Frankfurt University (masters in education with the main emphasis on media sciences).
He taught media pedagogy, did research and published in the field of media analysis. Multimedia- conception for cultural projects.
Working as author, director and producer for television productions (ARD) and for educational institutions both state and church.
He produced documentary films in: Germany, Tanzania, Kenya, Papua-Neuguinea, Australia, Italy, France, USA, Japan, Ireland.
Main focus on youth, ethnology, developmental politics, and art-cultural history.
One of the founders of the Centro Interculturale Villa Palagioen (International Communications Centre) near Volterra, Italy.
