Synopsis
The film was made on occasion of a big event organized by the Italian Communist Youth Federation in February 1975 at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, where flowed fifteen thousand spectators to follow performances by singers, actors, musicians including italian bands and foreign music: Ivan Della Mea, Paolo Pietrangeli, Giovanna Marini, Paul Ciarchi, Ernesto Bassignano, the Amerikanta, Rosa Balistreri, Maria Carta, Ines Carmona, Luigi Nono, Giorgio Gaslini, Mario Schiano, Bruno Cirino, Gian Maria Volonte , Luigi Proietti, Stefano Satta Flores; and finally, the Inti Illimani and the Quilapayun groups whose music and songs are about the fascist repression in Chile and the people's struggle against the military dictatorship.
With its blend of songs, performances of contemporary music and free jazz, readings, and with a thematic cross-linked to the great democratic struggles of these years, "Music for Freedom" arise as a musical film show completely different from television musicals, influenced by the cultural industry and characterised by the tendency to pure escapism.

As an actor, he starred in the film Odio for hatred directed by Domenico Paolella (1967).
In addition to having directed some miniseries of La piovra, he was the creator and director of the telefilms Suspects and A case of conscience, both with Sebastiano Somma in the role of the protagonist.
