Tomoharu Katsumata (Shizuoka Prefecture, 1938) is a Japanese director, known primarily for his work in anime. One of the main directors of Toei Animation during the sixties, seventies and eighties, Katsumata has directed many TV series of Toei, adaptations of Gō Nagai manga, including Devilman (1972), Mazinga Z (1972), Cutey Honey (1973), Great Mazinga (1974), UFO Robot Goldrake (1975) and Gaiking (1976). |
