MARIAN CZURA

Marian Manfred Theodor Czura (* 1949) is a Polish-German filmmaker, director, screenwriter, cameraman and painter. He lives in Darmstadt.
Marian Czura was born in the Upper Silesian Groszowice near Opole. There he studied psychology, philosophy and theology in Neisse, Opole and Warsaw.
After leaving the People's Republic of Poland, he studied painting at the Städel in Frankfurt and the Kunsthochschule in Amsterdam. At the same time he became more interested in film art and shot his first films. He was the initiator and co-founder of the Frankfurter Filmwerkstatt.
