More than eight million tons of plastic end up in the sea every year, killing marine life. Now new evidence shows that plastic has infiltrated the food chain, with unknown consequences for health. ‘A Plastic Tide’, documentary produced by Sky News, shows the dimensions of the phenomenon of the presence of plastic in the oceans and what are the actions that can be undertaken to fight it. The documentary is part of the “Sky Ocean Rescue” Campain, launched by the Sky group at an international level with the aim of helping to safeguard the seas in danger due to plastic pollution, the excessive exploitation of fish resources and the loss of biodiversity.
