“We were overwhelmed by the energy of the Giffoni Impact! youth”. This is how ACEA describes the emotions experienced over the past few days at Giffoni54.
Days were filled with discussions with 200 young people, aged 18 to 30, who participated in the event to engage with the company, which operates in the water sector and is among the leading operators in electricity distribution, energy and the environment. Topics discussed included the pressing issues of our time, which young people feel deeply and relate to the health of the planet: #future, #sustainability and #protection of #waterresources.
Guest of Giffoni 54, Caterina Litta Dentoni (Sustainability Manager of #AceaGroup), was engaged by the enthusiasm of the young participants, answering their questions and leading a stimulating debate on the most relevant topics for the new generations.
The surprises didn’t end there. The ACEA SPECIAL AWARD was given to the film Kensuke’s Kingdom, which best addressed the theme of protecting natural resources. The film (UK, Luxembourg and France, 2013) is directed by Kirk Hendry and Neil Boyle. It is produced by Lupus Films (Great Britain) and distributed internationally by Cinema Management Group (USA).
THE REASONING: A STORY OF FRIENDSHIP AND, ABOVE ALL, OF VALUES THAT MUST BE PASSED DOWN THROUGH GENERATIONS. VALUES THAT PERTAIN PRIMARILY TO RESPECT FOR OUR PLANET AND OUR PRECIOUS NATURAL RESOURCES, WHICH MUST ALWAYS BE SAFEGUARDED AND TREATED WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT AS THEY ARE THE SOURCE OF OUR VERY LIFE.
