The Doha Film Institute has announced the competition line-up for the third edition of the Ajyal Youth Film Festival, comprising feature films from 20 countries and a series of short film programmes to be screened from November 29 to December 5 at Katara.

The Doha Film Institute unveiled highlights of its industry programme today as part of its third annual Ajyal Youth Film Festival line-up.

The third annual Ajyal Youth Film Festival will be held from Nov 29 – Dec 5 at Katara. 

With the 2015 Ajyal Youth Film Festival scheduled to run from 29th November to 5th December, a lineup of globally acclaimed filmmakers will be in Qatar for the screening of their films and live Q&A sessions.

One of the best action-adventure comedies of all time, Buster Keaton’s. ‘The General’ to mark first free outdoor screening.

CHILDREN IN CONFLICT AREAS: EMPOWERING YOUTH TO SHARE THEIR STORIES

Screening of a selection of international short films and one more opportunity to watch the festival’s opening film, ‘The Idol’.

This year at Ajyal we’re welcoming films from 36 countries. But we’re also showcasing some of our homegrown talent in the popular Made in Qatar programme. These 17 short films, made by Qataris and those who call Qatar home, highlight the range of emerging film voices all over our country.
