Jungle Cruise, at #Giffoni50Plus the Cittadella del Cinema turns into La Quila

In the Sala Truffaut, the jurors attending the two evening screenings of Jungle Cruise at #Giffoni50Plus were welcomed by an incredible surprise. The Disney summer event-film was introduced by two very personal and special video-messages of greetings: the stars of the film, the unusual couple made up by The Rock and Emily Blunt, sent their gratitude to the giffoners for welcoming them as the first Italian viewers of the breathtaking blockbuster. For the occasion, the Cittadella del Cinema was transformed into La Quila, the boat where this incredible adventure takes place: indeed, the blue carpet changed its look to host the blow-ups of all the protagonists and accompany the jurors into the cinema to experience an unforgettable journey.

Disney’s new adventure Jungle Cruise is a fun and exciting ride down the Amazon river starring Dwayne Johnson as reckless Captain Frank Wolff and Emily Blunt as fearless researcher Dr Lily Houghton. From London, England, Lily sets off for the Amazon rainforest and recruits Frank to guide her down the river with La Quila, his crumbling yet fascinating boat. Lily is determined to discover an ancient tree with extraordinary healing powers that could change the future of medicine. During this epic quest, the unconventional duo encounter countless dangers and supernatural forces hidden in the misleading beauty of the lush rainforest. When the secrets of the lost tree are revealed, the stakes become higher and higher for Lily and Frank, and their fate -and that of humanity- hangs in the balance.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the film Jungle Cruise, after its Italian premiere in Giffoni, will be available in Italian cinemas on July 28 and on Disney+ streaming service through Premier Access* from July 30. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti.
