Growing Fangs, Disney+ once again in the spotlight at Giffoni

With their red hats, the jurors of the Sala Sordi of #Giffoni50Plus welcomed the eagerly awaited preview of Vita da Vampiri (Growing Fangs) by Ann Marie Pace, the new Disney+ series. This adventure in the name of inclusivity and sharing literally enraptured the young Giffoners and transported them to a dimension where two worlds coexist in the protagonist Val Garcia, an American girl of Mexican origin who is half vampire and half human. Enthusiasm, light-heartedness and a few funny experiences: episode after episode, the fun was served.  The audience welcomed this new story with great warmth, with applause, laughter and a few shining eyes. During the double appointment in the morning and in the afternoon, this anticipation, full of incredible creatures, received the same unconditional welcome.

Growing Fangs is a Disney+ short film belonging to the first season of LAUNCHPAD, that is a collection of Disney live-action short films created by a new generation of storytellers. The six pieces of content have been available for streaming on Disney+ since May the 28th. The filmmakers, all from underrepresented backgrounds, were selected from more than 1100 American applicants and were given the opportunity to share their views and creative vision with a worldwide audience. Each director was accompanied by mentors from the company's various divisions, including Disney+, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production. The goal of Disney's LAUNCHPAD is to create diversity in the stories that are told and to give visibility to those that have never had space.
