Today at #Giffoni50Plus we are definitely going back to prehistory. Thanks to the screening of the animated film The Croods 2 - A New Era, the eagerly awaited sequel to the adventures of the cavemen (they first appeared on the big screen 8 years ago), the Cittadella del Cinema takes a step back in time. The event is celebrated by Leo Gassman, voice talent of the film, who reveals curiosities and backgrounds of this project to the jurors: for the singer and actor it is a dubbing experience made even more unforgettable by the presence of his father Alessandro in the cast. The film, currently being screened in Italian cinemas, is directed by Joel Crawford, already part of the team that brought animated gems like Shrek and Kung Fu Panda to the cinema. This time the Neanderthal family deals with a more evolved clan, the Superiors, during one of their migrations. Suffice it to say that the Superiors have built a tree house, invented multipurpose tools and have successfully taken up farming. Coexistence between them does not exactly look peaceful and friendly, as the competition becomes increasingly fierce. Perhaps the two groups just need to find a way to stand together in order to 'win'.
