At #Giffoni50Plus the italian premiere of Jungle Cruise, the new great Disney adventure starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt

On July 26th, the jurors and the audience of the festival will have the opportunity to attend the Italian premiere of the movie and to be thrilled by a fun-filled jungle ride for the whole family

The new exciting Disney adventure JUNGLE CRUISE will be presented as Italian premiere on July 26 at #Giffoni50Plus, the fifty-first edition of the festival scheduled from July the 21st to the 31st.
The protagonists of this fun ride down the Amazon River are Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and Emily Blunt as the wisecracking Captain Frank Wolff and an intrepid researcher, Dr. Lily Houghton.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and inspired by the famous Disneyland attraction, after the Italian premiere in Giffoni, the film will arrive in the Italian theaters on July the 28th and from July the 30th in streaming on Disney+ with Premier Access*.
We are at the beginning of the twentieth century. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.
Jungle Cruise stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramírez and Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.
The film is produced by John Davis, John Fox, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia and Beau Flynn, while Scott Sheldon and Doug Merrifield are the executive producers. The screenplay is penned by Michael Green and Glenn Ficarra & John Requa, from a story by John Norville & Josh Goldstein and Glenn Ficarra & John Requa.
The announcement of the Italian premiere of JUNGLE CRUISE anticipates the presentation of #Giffoni50Plus: on July the 8th at 11 am, in the hall of the City Council of Bergamo, the program of the fifty-first edition of the festival, scheduled from July the 21st to the 31st, will be announced.
The event will be available in live streaming on www.giffonilive.it and on www.giffonifilmfestival.it

*It requires an active Disney+ subscription and an additional fee for Premier Access.
