Words, stories and images: Jublin and Ponti at #Giffoni50

Anatole France used to say that there is no stronger magic than words. And words have been and will be the topic of discussion in the next days with Andrea Jublin and Marco Ponti, protagonists of the Masterclass Cult. “Dalla parola scritta a quella recitata” (“From writing to acting”) is the title of the four lessons taught by Jublin, director, actor and screenwriter, producer of a short film, Il supplente, that was an Academy Award nominee in 2008. “Dal racconto per immagini al racconto di immagini” (“From the narrated through images to a tale of images”) is the central topic of the classes taught by Ponti, screenwriter, director and writer, who directed the very famous Santa Maradona, which won two David di Donatello Awards.

Both Jublin and Ponti are at home now at Giffoni and they always come back with enthusiasm. “Here everything is beautiful - Jublin said - The kids are smart, passionate, they are eager to learn and they fill you with enthusiasm”. According to Ponti, the Festival “is one of the most beautiful places where a narrator can be. The big risk is getting bored somewhere else, after living such an intense experience”.
