Addictions, crossroads and violence marked by difficult choices and compromise. Also passion, future and solitude are the main themes of the films in competition today. The day starts at 10:00 am, at Sala Galileo, with CALM WITH HORSES (Ireland, 2019) by Nick Rowland: the Generators +18 will learn about the story of the former boxer Arm and the choice that will change his life and his loved ones’ for ever. At Sala Truffaut, at 10:00 am, the film NAKED ANIMALS (Germany, 2020) by Melanie Waelde will be judged by the Generators+16: five friends growing up in a small town in Germany have to decide whether to leave or to stay after finishing school. They are looking for one another, they are running away from one another and, while they kiss and they fight, they decide on what seems to be the rest of their lives.
At 4:30 pm, at Sala Galileo, the film THE SLEEPWALKERS (Argentina/ Uruguay, 2019) by Paula Hernández will be screened for the Generators +18.
