Actor, director and photographer, founder of a theater company and theater educator, among the icons of the Gomorrah series: this and much more is ARTURO MUSELLI, who, on July 26th, will meet the masterclass attendees of the CULT section. A lecture on cinema and acting performances which will also be a moment of debate and discussion. Muselli will also receive the GIFFONI EXPLOSIVE AWARD, the award of the Giffoni Film Festival dedicated to rising talents.
After graduating in Literature with specialization in Modern Philology at the Federico II University of Naples, his film career starts in 2004, with Le conseguenze dell’amore, directed by Paolo Sorrentino, followed by L’era legale by Enrico Caria, Mater Mediterranea by Giuseppe Ferrara, La tenerezza by Gianni Amelio, La parrucchiera by Stefano Incerti, Dragonheart 5 by Ivan Silvestrini
For television, he worked in series like La Squadra, Carabinieri 3, Un Posto al Sole, Squadra mobile 2, Provaci ancora prof. 6, but he reaches notoriety by entering the main cast of the TV series Gomorrah - The Series, playing the role of the complex and dramatic character of Enzo - Sangue Blu.
After debuting on stage in The Bear: A Joke in One Act by Anton Cechov and This Property Is Condemned by Tennessee Williams directed by Maria Benoni, he keeps on performing also on alternative stages, such as the Nisida Juvenile Hall, where he works as a voluntary theater educator too, sharing shows with the young guests of the structure. In 2013 he founded, together with director Ludovica Rambelli, his own theater company, The Hats Company, staging texts by William Shakespeare in English with the rhythms of the “commedia all’italiana” presenting in 2014, at the Festival di Benevento Città Spettacolo, Wrong play, my lord! from Hamlet and Don’t say that name, please! from Macbeth by William Shakespeare. In 2015, his debut in stage direction with La morte è un punto by Katarina Carlshamre, within the project Italia Svezia 2-2.
