It is the place where intergenerational issues are tackled, where fundamental human rights are discussed, where you open up to diversity, where the scourges of dehumanization like bullying and school abandonment. These are all issues very dear to the Campania Region, together with formation and jobs. The idea of the Multimedia Valley, that Claudio had sixteen years ago and that we will open on July 13 oges in that direction: creating new opportunities and new profession for our youth against any form of alienation. Giffoni is not just a Festival, it has an important economic impact, and for this reason the Region confirms and enhances its support. Rigour, organization and creativity: from Giffoni a great message to the whole of Italy. Giffoni builds something that didn't exist before, the model for the South that we all want”.

“We move closer to the Fifty year mark of Giffoni - said director Claudio Gubitosi - at the beginning it was just a Festival but, with continuity and stubbornness, we changed into a an organization which is active year round. A huge project in progress requiring lots of commitment and that does not end with the Festival. The numbers for the 47th edition are very impressive: 175 works, including 101 in competition, 6 premieres and 6 special events in collaboration with the most important film majors, Italian production and distribution companies, 20 creative workshops, more than 30 shows and over 200 free events including workshops, Children shows, jugglers, street entertainers, dancers, puppeteers in 10 separate locations spread around the streets of Giffoni Valle Piana, 15 meetings dedicated to digital innovation, 5 Meet the Stars for 5.000 fans. 50 Domestic and international talents, many of whom will be taking part in the Masterclass section in collaboration with BadTaste.it, the giffoners will have the chance to discuss with acclaimed authors, directors, singers actors and emerging artistic talent.
