The National Day dedicated to the fight against pedophilia and pedopornography, established by the law of May 4 2009 n. 41 to raise awareness on the prevention of child abuse and neglect, took place in Rome on May the 5th 2017. The conference 'Pedophilia: how to fight it and what solutions" was organized by the Presidency of the Council of Minsietrs and by 'Telefono Azzurro".

Among the attendees, Maria Elena Boschi, the undersecretary of the Prime Minsiter's Office with the mandate on equal opportunities, Ernesto Caffo chairman of Telefono Azzurro who invited Giffoni Experience directot Claudio Gubitosi.
During the discussions, Telefono azzurro presented a Dossier "Sexual Abuse and pedophilia. The new challenges sfide" (available on http://www.azzurro.it/it/content/giornata-nazionale-contro-la-pedofilia-e-la-pedopornografia-5-maggio-2017-0). The dossier aims at giving adults, parents, teachers and experts the necessary tools to recognize possible abuse from an early stage.
