LAUREN KATE MENTIONS GIFFONI WHILE INTRODUCING NEW "FALLEN"INSTALMENT

THE FIRST INSTALMENT OF THE FRANCHISE DISTRIBUTED BY M2 PICTURES IN ITALY AT LAST

The Giffoni Film Festival is one of Lauren Kate's 'best memories' of italy: The American writer said this as she presented the new installment of "Fallen", published by Rizzoli, in a special letter addressed to Italy in which she mentioned her most touching moments with her fans in Italy.

Lauren Kate received an enthusiastic warm welcome in Giffoni in 2015, while presenting the backstage and making of the film that she also produced, stating she was "proud of the end result". The film is an adaptation of the first chapter of the franchise 'Fallen', a real best seller that has sold millions of copies worldwide and over half a million solely in Italy.

The film has been showing nationwide in  Italy since January the 26th and is distributed by M2 Pictures. The novel revolves around a young girl named Lucinda Price who is sent to Sword & Cross Reform School in Savannah, Georgia, after she is accused of murdering a boy by starting a fire. At the reform school, she meets Daniel, a handsome boy whom she feels inexplicably drawn to, and believes that she has already met before. Lonesome and haunted by bizzarre visions Luce eventually finds out the two boys  are fallen angels who have been competing for her love for centuries. Luce will need to clarify her feelings and decide on which side to take in the epic battle between Heaven and Hell in search for her one true love.

The film directed by Scott Hicks (Shine), stars Addison Timlin (Californication), Jeremy Irvine (War Horse, Great Hopes), Harrison Gilbertson and Joely Richardson.
