Mika to the Giffoni Film Festival jurors: “Thanks for your joy and passion”

Touched and enthusiastic, Mika greeted and thanked the audience at the Giffoni Film Festival for their joy and passion towards art and cinema. After three years as judge at X-Factor, the singer is ready for new professional experiences: “I’ve always put all myself in my songs, it’s been a way to overcome difficult and painful moments in my life. However, it isn’t always very easy to talk to certain audiences about sexuality, traumas and the story of my family. Sometimes, I find myself singing in countries where some of the themes I deal with are forbidden but, for me, music is a therapy, a flag.” Mika also surprisingly admitted to have attended many movie auditions: “I’ve always said no till now, but I attended a casting call last month and producers liked it. It was a big risk but I still don’t do what I’ll do”.
