Giffoni takes off with Planes 2

Suddenly going out of range, facing the "tempest" and gaining altitude again with stronger determination. Planes 2: Fire and Rescue, the new adventure about second occasions by Disney, has inaugurated the 44th edition of Giffoni Film Festival preview section.

The film, that will be released in Italy on August 28th, has been presented to jury members and journalists during the opening day on July 18th by the film-maker Ferrell Barron, together with the director Bobs Gannaway and the Italian dubbers Marco Marzocca, Enzo Savi and Antonio Montieri known as Savi&Montieri, Radio Italia speakers, Andrea Contaldo and Inaer Aviation Italia's Captain Federico Max.

"It may happen to everyone, at least once in lifetime, to reach a dead point –  explained the film-maker Ferrell Borron – everyone, at a certain point, needs to find the way again, to realize which is the second occasion that life is offering."

Not only an animation movie for young people, but a work to be addressed to elder people too, to have fun together and reflect as well."Heroes are those who sacrifice their life for others: this film is dedicated to our paladins: firefighters – added the director Bobs Gannaway – we wanted to highlight the job of people that risk life every day, even if they are unnoticed."

An important adventure for dubbers too, as Marco Marzocca said: "We have been asked not to underline the characters and to conform to the original voices' interpretations. Planes peculiarity is that fact that watching it you forget that the characters are machines because they have human problems and behaviours.

And an indiscretion for Disney fans: "We don't know if there will be Planes 3 – clarified Barron and Gannaway – if we find the right inspiration there will probably be the third volume, but a film about trains is possible too."
