Vivo Giffoni – Giffoni Music Concept has always been the Giffoni Film Festival music format, an event within the event where giffoners of all generations and families have the chance to enjoy themselves and get in touch with music, the language of soul. A moment of evening entertainment after the morning and afternoon drudgery of judging films, meeting talents, attending masterclasses and chasing the stars on the haunt for selfies. The concerts and DJ sets also provide youth with a social occasion for deepening mutual knowledge. This magic ritual can be attended by families too: parents can share with their children passion for music and update one another on old and new trends.
Like every year, the Giffoni Film Festival treats its large audience to great concerts, premières and attention to young talents, as proved by the Giffoni Rap Contest. Music is the Festival second backbone and the 49th edition has confirmed once again the excellent artistic quality of past years. The stage has hosted big Italian names such as Daniele Silvestri, Mahmood, Anastasio, Arisa as well as the urban trap and reggaeton greats, like Boomdabash, Fred De Palma, Elodie, Shade; rappers like Mondo Marcio, Emis Killa, IZI and Junior Cally and, last but not least, the younger generation of contaminated pop rock, including La Maschera, la Municipal, The Minis, Massaroni Pianoforti and La Rua.
