The Lion King’s story celebrates its 25th anniversary and is about to be back on the big screen in a completely new shape. Today July 24th there will be a special screening for the jurors of the 49th edition of the new Disney movie directed by Jon Favreau THE LION KING, in its original version with subtitles in Italian.
Created using cutting-edge film technologies, the film will hit Italian theatres on August 21 and will take the audience to the African savannah where a future king is born. Simba greatly admires his father, King Mufasa, and takes very seriously his own royal destiny. But not everyone is celebrating the new royal cub. Scar, Mufasa’s brother and former heir to the throne, has very different plans and the dramatic battle for Pride Rock, marked by treason and by tragic consequences, ends with Simba’s exile. With the help of a bizarre couple of new friends, Simba will have to learn to grow up and understand how to win back what is his by right.
A part of the Italian voice cast will also be today’s guest in Giffoni: EDOARDO LEO (Timon) and STEFANO FRESI (Pumbaa) will meet the giffoners in Sala Truffaut.
