Fashion model turned actress Madalina Diana Ghenea was born in Romania in 1988. When she was 15 years old she moved to Milan, where she started her career in modelling. In 2007 she appeared in a video for Eros Ramazzotti's song Il tempo tra noi and she’s been the image of TRE-Italy mobile company since 2010.
In 2011she made her big screen debut with I soliti idioti – Il film by Enrico Lando and two years later she also appeared in Razzabastarda, by Alessandro Gassmann, and Dom Heminguey, by Richard Shepard.
2014 marked her big break: Ghenea first played the role of Dorotea Malatesta in TV series Borgia, then appeared as Miss Universe in Paolo Sorrentino’s drama film Youth. She co-hosted and supported Carlo Conti for the 2016 edition of Sanremo Music Festival and later appeared in Zoolander 2, by Ben Stiller, and Smitten!, first feature work by Barry Morrow.
