BIOGRAPHY:
Valentina Corti was born in Rome. She always wanted to be an actress and when she started she was immediately spotted by various directors: After appearing in “Altri tempi” (alongside Vittoria Puccini) Valentina was cast in leading roles like in “TRILUSSA” (with Michele Placido), “K2” (with Marco Bocci), “Tutta la musica del cuore” ( with Lucrezia Lante della Rovere) and in the last series of TV show “Un medico in famiglia” that won her fame.
She was also noticed straight away by silver screen directors and Carlo Carlei cast her for a major role in his “Romeo and Juliet” alongside Laura Morante. Leonardo Tiberi cast her for the leading role in his docu film “Fango e Gloria” against the backdrop of the first world war which received a” Globi d’oro nomination for best film. In October she will be at the Rome Film Festival in her “A Napoli non piove mai” (by and with Sergio Assisi).
The actress has been awarded the “PREMIO L’OREAL PER IL CINEMA 2014” and the “PREMIO AFRODITE” for best actress and revelation of the year.
