Fake profiles, online abuse and like addiction: The seventh edition of Giffoni Macedonia will include the participation of a Postal Police truck

The initiative is part of the Safer Internet Centre – Connected generations

The Postal Police truck stops in Skopje, in the ambit of the itinerant educational campaign carried out by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, for the Safer Internet Center - Generations Connected project. Set up as a multimedia teaching classroom, the truck will travel throughout Italy and then participate, from 12 to 17 October, in the seventh edition of Giffoni Macedonia.

Giffoni Opportunity and the Postal Police with this initiative are committed to encouraging and promoting a more responsible use of the web by children, providing families and teachers with useful information and advice for a safe navigation. The idea was born in compliance with the agreement protocols, signed last July, by the two organizations in order to prevent and fight all forms of abuse against children on the web.

The Italian Postal Police operators will meet with students, parents, teachers and school administrators to discuss online security issues in a simple but clear language suitable for all age groups. The mobile team will also be speaking with Macedonian colleagues to promote new forms of collaboration, as well as the exchange of good practices in protecting young people.
