Destinazione Northern Macedonia: The final stage of the project aimed at educating to multiculturalism

The event aims to enhance the mutual cultural heritage and is co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation - General Directorate for the Promotion of the Country System

Different lives meet to share their experiences and find a common ground: it is Destinazione Northern Macedonia, the project organized by the Giffoni Experience in co-financing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation - General Directorate for the promotion of the Country system and with the collaboration of the Planet M. Association. Divided into two phases - the first held in Italy, in Giffoni Valle Piana and the second in Northern Macedonia, in Skopje - the initiative aims to enhance the mutual cultural and environmental heritage with seminars, workshops, lessons and laboratories.

After receiving a delegation of Macedonian youth in Giffoni last July, 12 giffoners are ready to leave for Skopje from 12 to 17 October. Among them Chiara Corbara, Arianna Normando, Francesco Vairo, Francesco Bonito, Ilaria Finelli, Andrea Marino, Vittorio Solfino, Roberta Sparano, Michela Costabile, Jacopo Pastore, Federica Pipino and Giulia Troisi. With the supervision of the director of Giffoni Opportunity, Claudio Gubitosi and the project manager, Marco Cesaro, the children will experience days of training both from a cultural and personal level. The Planet M Association, on the other hand, directed by Darko Baseski, will coordinate the meetings at the Saints Cyril and Methodius University, the Academy of Arts, the National Film Archive, the University of Audiovisual Arts, the European Film Academy and the ESRA.

An initiative created to educate to multiculturalism through the integration and exchange of knowledge, in line with one of Giffoni's key objectives: to make young people understand and experience different realities. It is not just a journey to discover a nation waiting to enter in Europe but an opportunity to get to know each other, talk and work together on a common idea. Unique opportunities that open the mind, lift the spirit and offer new friendships.
