Sound designer, writer and director, Haukurworked in commercials, music videos, film & tv. He’s a two time nominee at the Icelandic Music Awards for best music video. 2018 winner for best music video at the Northern Wave Film Festival and as well as an Aura winner for most successful campaign at the Icelandic Advertising Awards. In 2014 he wrote and directed his first short film NO HANDLING FEES. His documentary tv series titled LOVE premiered on Sjónvarp Símans, Iceland’s largest private network in September 2019. The short film WILMA (2019) played at the BendFilm Festival and won the Special Jury Prize at the 2020 Flickerfest in Sydney. The film won the audience award at the 2019 Luststeifen Film Festival and the best original screenplay at the 2019 Face á Face festival in France. WILMA was also nominated for best short film at the Icelandic Film & Television Awards. Haukur is currently developing a scripted series for Sagafilm, a feature adaptation of his most recent short film WILMA and filming a mockumentary series for Snark.
