SOPHIE VUKOVIĆ
Sophie Vukovic graduated in social anthropology at the university of Edinburgh. She worked in theatre and journalism, and studied documentary filmmaking at Nordic Folk High School on Biskops-Arnö. She debuted with the short 09:55-11:05 INGRID EKMAN BERGSGATAN 4B (2015) which was nominated for and won several prizes at international festivals like SXSW, Slamdance, Mezipatra Queer Film Festival, Mix Copenhagen LGBT Film Festival and Stockholm International Film Festival. In 2017 she directed her first feature film SHAPESHIFTERS, about what she calls “transithood”, a certain state that appears within immigrant children searching both an identity and a natural sense of belonging.
