GIULIA STEIGERWALT
Giulia Steigerwalt began her career as an actress with Gabriele Muccino's film BUT FOREVER IN MY MIND, followed by other films and TV series, such as OUR TROPICAL ISLAND by Marcello Cesena, PAZ! by Renato De Maria, UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN by Audrey Wells, COME TU MI VUOI by Volfango De Biasi. After graduating in Philosophy, she studied screenwriting, first at RAI (Script Course), then for two years at UCLA in Los Angeles (Feature Film Writing Certificate). In 2012 she published her first novel E se fosse possibile? In 2013 she wrote the show Il giro del mondo in 80 minuti for the Piazza Vittorio Orchestra together with Mario Tronco and Daniele Spanò. In 2015 she wrote the second season of the TV series ZIO GIANNI for Ascent Film and RAI2. As a screenwriter she signed: FIABESCHI TORNA A CASA directed by Max Mazzotta, BABYLON SISTERS directed by Gigi Roccati, WIFE&HUSBAND, directed by Simone Godano, Greenland and Warner Bros, THE CHAMPION, directed by Leonardo D'Agostini for Greenland and Rai Cinema, and AN ALMOST ORDINARY SUMMER, directed by Simone Godano for Greenland and Warner Bros. In 2019 she won, at Nastri d'Argento, the SIAE Special Screenwriting Award for the screenplay of THE CHAMPION and AN ALMOST ORDINARY SUMMER. SEPTEMBER is her directorial debut.
