LA MADRE

Category: Special Events

There is a part of the ancient center of Naples that for years has been hostage to decay and the camorra. And in particular, in such a small area, a UNESCO heritage site, ferocious gangs of young boys have faced each other, spreading terror and innocent victims. Hearing their authentic voices echoing through the alleys and speaking of reprisals, murders, ways of life indifferent to any atrocity, is an important story to decipher the city. In the documentary "La Madre" there are real interceptions used in the investigations of the anti-mafia district command of Naples and almost never listened to. In that same area, there is a big yellow door which is that of a contemporary art museum, and for some time, thanks to Laura Valente, a president attentive to the social context, (who is now no longer in office), was always open for the people, the same people who, until recently, were unaware that there was a museum in that place.
