Young Hopper is the adopted son of King Peter, a famous adventurer. Part chicken and part hare, he has a really tough time growing up and disguises himself as a hare to avoid the mockeries of his peers. When the day of the Royal Adventurer Society trials comes, Hopper, hampered by his disguise, fails miserably. But he is determined to grab a second chance and find the Scepter of the Hamster of Darkness, before his evil Uncle Lapin. The Scepter will give immense power to its holder. If Lapin gets hold of it, he will be unstoppable. Accompanied by his faithful servant Abe, a sarcastic turtle, and Meg, a martial arts expert skunk, he sets off on an epic and initiatory quest.

Ben Stassen
Born in Belgium. He graduated from USC School of Cinema and TV. In 1994 he co-founded nWave Pictures, dedicated to producing and distributing immersive 3D/4D content worldwide. From 1997 he focused on large format IMAX and 3D films, such as THRILL RIDE: THE SCIENCE OF FUN (1997), ALIEN ADVENTURE (1999), SOS PLANET (2002), FLY ME TO THE MOON (2008). He directed or co-directed the films A TURTLE’S TALE: SAMMY’S ADVENTURES (2010), A TURTLE TALE 2: SAMMY’s ESCAPE FROM PARADISE (2012), THE HOUSE OF MAGIC (2013), THE WILD LIFE (2016), THE SON OF BIGFOOT (2017) and THE QUEEN’S CORGI (2019).
Benjamin Mousquet
Benjamin began his career as layout artist and animator. In 2006 he wrote and directed the animated short film DYNAMO. In 2021 he directed his first feature film CHICKENHARE AND THE HAMSTER OF DARKNESS with Ben Stassen.
