Kateřina Karhánková

Kateřina Karhánková graduated from the Animation Department at FAMU (Scuola di cinema e TV dell'Accademia delle arti dello spettacolo), Prague. She is a director, screenwriter, animator and artist focused on films for children. Her graduation film, NEW SPECIES, was selected in Annecy 2014 and then presented at the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York. Her following film, TONY AND MR. ILLNESS, won several awards including the 2015 Gold Panda. In 2017 she directed the short film FRUITS OF THE CLOUDS which was nominated for the 2018 European Animation Awards, BAFTA 2018. Kateřina is also one of the directors of the animated television series SWEET BEAR STORIES. Her most recent film is MUD PIE!
