Simone Giampaolo is a Swiss director (Ticino) specialized in animation. For him storytelling is a passion. In 2013, he attended the digital animation course at the National Center for Computer Animation in Bournemouth (UK) and received his Bachelor of Arts with honors. He has directed, from storyboard to animation, more than ten animated shorts, some of which have been screened in international film festivals. From January 2014 to January 2018 Simone worked as a director of animation and CG (special effects) artist in the sales department of Blue-Zoo Animation (based in London), working on numerous projects for clients such as Cartoon Network, Disney, LEGO, Nickelodeon, Marvel, Lucasfilm and BBC. He is now director of animation for the world-renowned studio Aardman Animations.
