Roopal Kewalya
Roopal is a published author, screenwriter and filmmaker. Passionate about stories, she wrote a children’s book called The Little Rainmaker, published by Penguin India, in 2018. The book travelled with her all over India to Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC), Singapore. Her feature film script TIGADI was invited to the NFDC Screenwriter’s Lab, India, 2019. She was also the Content Head for a digital start-up called Kool Kanya which helps women take up the careers they love. Roopal has actively volunteered for a number of children’s organisations like Katha India and 17000ft Foundation as a storyteller and mentor. Recently, she was also on the curation committee of Kidscinema 2020, an online international children’s film festival supported by UNESCO. She is currently the founder of CORNUCOPIA PICTURES – a production house based in Mumbai that creates live action content for children. THE FLYMAN is her first short.
