Biography

President of Symbola - Fondazione per le qualità italiane (Foundation for Italian quality) and honorary president of the environmentalist association Legambiente. In the past parliamentary term, he chaired the Environment, Territory and Public Works Commission of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, leading to the approval of a law against environmental crimes, a law on the development of small municipalities, a reform of environmental agencies, the elimination of non-biodegradable cotton buds and microplastics in cosmetics and other measures aimed at protecting the environment and promoting green economies.
