Biography

Gaetano Pecoraro was a reporter for “Le Iene” in 2015. In April 2017 he was the only journalist to speak about the chemical attack of Khan Shaykhun in Syria during the civil war.
As a reporter he dealt with the principal national and international facts for La7 and Mediaset. He started working as a journalist in the editorial staff of Telejato of Partinico, he wrote for Ansa in Milan and for ilfattoquotidiano.it, dealing with politics, mafia and society. He has been working in television since 2011. He was awarded the journalism prize “Mario Francese”, youth section, in 2012. In 2016 he was awarded the prize Franco Giustolisi “Giustizia e Verità”, with an inquiry on the victims of the depleted uranium in the Italian Army.
In 2017 he was awarded the international prize “L’Anello debole, Comunità di Capo d’Arco”, with a reportage carried out in Argentina and Italy about the global impact of pesticides, specifically of glyphosate. In 2020, thanks to his commitment in the fight against mafia, he was awarded the Magna Grecia Award. He is Marilù’s partner and Giuseppe’s father and he is really passionate about tennis.
