EDUARDO E I BURATTINI

Category: Edition 2015

Synopsis
Two masterpieces of Eduardo De Filippo, the one-act plays DANGEROUSLY (1938) and SIK-SIK, THE MAGICAL MAKER (1929), are staged by the puppets of the Guarattelle Theatre of Bruno Leone. In his workshop, the master puppeteer, starting from a piece of wood, creates the puppet head of Eduardo, the protagonist of the two one-act plays. Then the action shifts to the theatre of the Institute “Ristori”, in the heart of Naples, where a group of kids, the school pupils, attend this new version of the Theatre of Eduardo. In the film, enriched with music by Nicola Piovani, the comic power of the characters is strengthened by the actors Luca De Filippo, Angela Pagano, Gianfelice Imparato and Tony Laudadio, who lend their voices to the puppets.
