Synopsis
The Fifties, in Japan, when television had not yet arrived in all homes. In the countryside, little Shinko doesn't even need it. She has her imagination, she has great energy, and she has the millennial history of her motherland, as she is always told by her beloved grandfather. The days of Shinko intertwine between the reality of the fields and historical fantasies. But the real change for the protagonist will come from the city: the same age Kiiko, daughter of a doctor, with a delicate and sad face. The great adventure of Shinko will be her friendship with Kiiko, whose loneliness will be reflected in that of another child, who lived the same feelings, in the same places ... but a thousand years before. For smiles, tears, and all the delicate and vibrant colors of growth are common even a thousand years later. As well as the affection between people.
