AMI LINDHOLM
Ami is a Finnish animation director. She graduated as animation director from Turku Arts Academy in 2008. She worked as animator, director, scriptwriter and illustrator. She also worked as freelancer and in coop Paperhat, a collective of 16 animators. Since 2014 she has been working at Rovio Entertainment as Episode Director for TV series "Angry Birds" and "Stella". She has directed 7 episodes of "Stella", a TV show focusing on friendship and being who you are. The first season of Stella was very successful: the show has had average 8 million views per episode, over 120 million views all together in Rovio’s own TV channel Toons.tv, the fifth largest kids channel in the world. She uses mostly drawn animation, cutout and stop motion but she wants to experiment different kind of animation styles and ways to use animation. Among her works: the drawn animation "The Irresistible Smile" (2006), charcoal animation for Miia Tervo’s document "Little Snow Animal" ("Lumikko", 2009) and animated diary "Anxiety / Relief" ("Ahdistaa Helpottaa", 2011). Her drawings can also be found on the walls of Turku Hospital and in Finnish baby magazine Kaksplus.
