MARIA STEPANOVA
Maria was born in Egypt in1976. She is a graduate of Andrei Tarkovsky Cinema Liceum (1992) and VGIK - Russian State Institute of Cinema (2000). She directed over 15 short films among which: "The Trap" (1996), "A Night Walk of a Watchman's Dog" (1997) "Happy Birthday to You" (1999), "Sviato" (2002, 1st prize at VGIK Festival + KODAK Prize, 1st prize at Zolotoy Vitiaz Festival), "Two Princesses" (2009, 1st Prize at Chicago Children film festival), "Petrushechka" (2014), "Valemon" (2017).
